GR.1 WINNERS BY AUSTRALIA'S SIRE GALILEO: See page 98 MATING SUGGESTIONS:

Epsom Derby winner Ausralia has made an impressive start to his stallion career, with seven Group winners from a first crop of 126. His smaller second crop is proving similarly effective, with the classic winner Galileo Chrome, his fellow Gr.1 winners Mare Australis and Order of Australia among its six Group winners. His early success means that his fifth crop, born in 2020, is his largest. More DANZIG blood is a must for Australia as his Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Order of Australia has a dam by DANEHILL . Galileo Chrome has a dam by DANSILI and Gr.2 winner Epona Plays has a dam by ORATORIO . Australia is also making his mark with mares by DANEHILL DANCER , siring Gr.2 winners Sir Ron Priestley and Leo de Fury. Three of Australia’s Group winners - Beyond Reason, Buckhurst and Patrick Sarsfield - are respectively inbred 4x3, 4x2 and 4x4 to GREEN DESERT . This suggests that Australia could shine with mares by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT and OASIS DREAM or their sons. Daughters of GREEN DESERT have produced 17% SWs to Galileo. OASIS DREAM mares have Group winners by Galileo and four of his sons. Australia’s Gr.1 placed 2YO Sissoko has a dam by POLISH PRECEDENT . Galileo has an excellent record with ANABAA mares, siring Gr.1 winners such as Bolshoi Ballet, Capri and Lush Lashes. Galileo has 13 Group/Graded winners from daughters of STORM CAT and no fewer than 9 are Gr.1 winners. Teofilo sired a Gr.1 winner from a daughter of GIANTS CAUSEWAY . AUSTRALIA is benefiting from mares with AHONOORA blood. He has made a highly impressive start with mares by ACCLAMATION , which create 5x4 to AHONOORA . From 10 foals he has sired the very smart brothers Broome and Point Lonsdale, the Gr.3 winner Counterparty Risk and a Listed-placed filly. Daughters of DARK ANGEL are a likeable alternative. Australia’s Gr.1-placed son Sydney Opera House has a second dam by AHONOORA , so is inbred 5x3. Galileo’s classic winners New Approach and Was respectively have a dam and a second dam by this top sprinter. Another son of Galileo sired the brilliant Enable from a SADLER’S WELLS mare. Frankel and Teofilo have sired Gr.1 winners from daughters of MONTJEU , this being 3x3 to SADLER’S WELLS . Australia already has two Group winners with second dams by NUREYEV . The second dam of his Gr.1 winner Order of Australia is from the NUREYEV line. Galileo excelled with the NUREYEV line, notably siring 11 Group winners from 44 foals out of PIVOTAL mares (25%). Frankel is shaping up very well with PIVOTAL mares, with four Gr.1 winners. Galileo has classic winners out of daughters of THEATRICAL and STRAVINSKY . Galileo and his sons have thrived with mares from the MILL REEF line. Australia’s first classic winner, Galileo Chrome, has a second dam by DARSHAAN and his Group winner Bangkok is from a DARSHAAN mare. Galileo excelled with the ROBERTO line, siring three Gr.1 winners from daughters of SILVER HAWK . His partnership with INTIKHAB resulted in five Group winners including Arc winner Found. The BLUSHING GROOM line suits Galileo and his sons. Australia sired Gr.1 winner Mare Australis from a daughter of RAINBOW QUEST , and that stallion also sired the second dam of Gr.2 winner Epona Plays. RAHY sired the second dams of 6 Gr.1 winners by Galileo. Australia’s classic-placed Cayenne Pepper is from a MR PROSPECTOR line mare, by GONE WEST’s son ELUSIVE QUALITY . The KINGMAMBO branch is particularly recommended, as are mares by DUBAWI . Four sons of Galileo have Group winners out of daughters of DUBAWI , with Frankel siring the 2021 Epsom Derby winner Adayar.
