Mares by GREEN DESERT , POLISH PRECEDENT and WAR FRONT create only 5x3 to DANZIG with Camelot. Montjeu sired Irish Oaks winner Bracelet and Gr.2 winner Wading from a mare by GREEN DESERT and this mare, Cherry Hinton, has now produced Gr.1 winner Athena and Gr.3 winner Goddess to Camelot. The theory that Camelot should be ideal for daughters of OASIS DREAM has been confirmed by the smart Sir Dragonet. Other options include INVINCIBLE SPIRIT and CAPE CROSS . Daughters of SEA THE STARS would reinforce Camelot’s classic ability. Camelot has already sired dual Gr.3 winner Wait Forever from a daughter of DANEHILL ’s son HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR . Montjeu sired Derby winner Authorized from a mare by SAUMAREZ . Montjeu sired Gr.1 winners with GONE WEST , MACHIAVELLIAN and WOODMAN mares and had four Group winners from ZAFONIC mares. Authorized has a Gr.2 winner with an ELUSIVE QUALITY dam. Camelot has a Gr.3 winner from a DUBAWI mare and a SW from a mare by GRAND SLAM while Gr.1 winner Athena has a grandam by MISWAKI . More MR PROSPECTOR line mares are therefore clearly called for with Camelot. Camelot sired the useful SIR EREC from a mare by GALILEO , creating 3x3 to SADLER’S WELLS , and Sir Dragonet is another inbred 3x3 to SADLER’S WELLS . Authorized, another of Montjeu’s Derby winners, sired classic-placed Rehn’s Nest with a GALILEO mare. Camelot’s first Group winner, Fighting Irish, has a dam by PIVOTAL . Camelot should suit daughters of SIYOUNI . His 2019 yearlings included a €650,000 colt out of a PEINTRE CELEBRE mare. Montjeu’s accomplished son Fame And Glory had a SHIRLEY HEIGHTS dam and a mare by DARSHAAN produced the Derby winner Pour Moi. Two of Montjeu’s sons also have Gr.1 winners out of DARSHAAN mares. Camelot’s Group winners Pollara and Hunting Horn have second dams by SHIRLEY HEIGHTS and DARSHAAN respectively.
