He already has Group and Listed winners among his second-crop 2yos. Altogether four of his first-crop colts have been placed at Gr.1 level, three of them at two years. Two of Australia’s Group winners - Gr.2 2yo winner Beyond Reason and the smart Buckhurst - are inbred 4x3 and 4x2 respectively to GREEN DESERT . This suggests that Australia could shine with mares by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT and OASIS DREAM and their sons. Daughters of GREEN DESERT have produced 14% Group winners to Galileo. Three sons of Galileo – Teofilo, Intello and New Approach – have sired Gr.1 winners from grand-daughters of GREEN DESERT . It is worth noting that OASIS DREAM mares have Group winners by four sons of Galileo. Galileo has 12 GSWs from 62 foals out of daughters of STORM CAT (21 per cent) and no fewer than eight of them
8
are Gr.1 winners (13%). Galileo also sired the classic-winning Seventh Heaven from a mare by Storm Cat’s grandson JOHANNESBURG . Teofilo sired a Gr.1 winner from a daughter of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY . Frankel has a Gr.1 winner out of a grand-daughter of STORM CAT . Two sons of Galileo have Gr.2 winners out of daughters of SHAMARDAL . Galileo’s total of more than 35 Group winners out of DANEHILL mares feature the brilliant Frankel, as well as Japan, Teofilo, Highland Reel, Intello, Golden Lilac and Noble Mission. Five sons of Galileo already have black-type winners out of DANEHILL mares. Galileo sired 16 Group winners - headed by Minding, Circus Maximus, The Gurkha, Sovereign, Alice Springs and Armory - from DANEHILL DANCER mares. Australia is already making his mark with DANEHILL DANCER mares, siring the classic-placed Group winner Sir Ron Priestley and Group-placed Leo de Fury. Galileo also has Gr.1 winners out of mares by ROCK OF GIBRALTAR , HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR , DESERT KING , MOZART and EXCEED AND EXCEL (Derby winner Anthony Van Dyck). Australia has the Stakes winning 2yo King Carney from a DANSILI mare. Two other sons of Galileo have Group winners with dams by DANSILI , including Nathaniel’s classic-winning daughter Channel. Galileo’s dual classic winner Winter has a dam by CHOISIR . Galileo has an excellent record with ANABAA mares, siring the multiple Gr.1 winners Capri and Lush Lashes. The CHIEF’S CROWN branch worked with Teofilo as he sired Irish St Leger winner Voleuse de Coeurs and Irish Derby winner Trading Leather from mares by GRAND LODGE and his son SINNDAR . Another son of Galileo sired the brilliant Enable from a SADLER’S WELLS mare. Frankel and Teofilo have sired winners of the Oaks and the Dewhurst Stakes respectively from daughters of MONTJEU , this being 3x3 to SADLER’S WELLS . Frankel has four Group winners with SADLER’S WELLS inbreeding. Another son of Galileo has Gr.2 and Gr.3 2yo winners inbred 3x4 and 3x3 to SADLER’S WELLS . Galileo has excellent results with the NUREYEV line, siring ten Group winners from 35 foals out of PIVOTAL mares (29 per cent). Frankel is also shaping up well with PIVOTAL mares, siring champion Cracksman and Gr.1 winner Veracious. New Approach sired the Oaks winner Talent from a PEINTRE CELEBRE mare. Galileo has Gr.1 winners out of THEATRICAL and STRAVINSKY mares. Australia should be a natural for the MILL REEF line. Thanks to his smart son Bangkok, Australia is one of three sons of Galileo to sire a Group winner from a DARSHAAN mare and his potential Classic winner Mohican Heights is from a SHIRLEY HEIGHTS mare. Galileo has ten Group winners out of DARSHAAN mares and has 23% stakes winners with MARK OF ESTEEM mares. A DAYLAMI mare produced Gr.1 winner Logician to Frankel. Galileo excels with the ROBERTO line, notably siring Nathaniel, Great Heavens and Seville from daughters of SILVER HAWK . He also has Group winners from daughters of DYNAFORMER , KRIS S. , LEAR FAN , RED RANSOM , DR FONG and SRI PEKAN . His partnership with INTIKHAB has four Group winners from ten foals, including Arc winner Found. Galileo sired the Gr.1 winner Galikova from a BLUSHING GROOM mare, while RAINBOW QUEST sired the dam of Teofilo’s Gr.1 winner Quest For More and the second dams of Frankel, Noble Mission and Curvy. Frankel and Teofilo both sired Gr.2 winners from daughters of RAHY . A GROOM DANCER mare produced a Gr.2 winner to Teofilo. Australia has already sired a Group-winning 2yo from a MR PROSPECTOR line mare, by GONE WEST ’s son ELUSIVE QUALITY . Galileo has numerous good winners inbred to MR PROSPECTOR within four generations. Galileo’s top-class colts Ulysses and Ruler Of The World have dams by KINGMAMBO , Red Rocks is out of a MACHIAVELLIAN mare and Order of St George has a dam by GONE WEST . The KINGMAMBO branch is recommended, as are mares by DUBAWI , as three sons of Galileo have Group winners out of them. AUSTRALIA will benefit from AHONOORA blood. He has made an impressive start with mares by ACCLAMATION , which create 5x4 to AHONOORA . From 5 foals he has sired the very smart Broome and a Listed-placed filly. Two other sons of Galileo have sired Group winners from ACCLAMATION mares. His Gr.1-placed son Sydney Opera House has a second dam by AHONOORA , so is inbred 5x3. Galileo has the classic winner New Approach with a dam by AHONOORA and also has a classic winner from a mare by INDIAN RIDGE . Both Galileo and Frankel have Gr.1 winners with INCHINOR mares. Australia’s 2019 yearlings included a 300,000gns colt out of an INDIAN RIDGE mare. The SHARPEN UP line is another guaranteed to suit Australia, as it has produced a classic winner to his sire Galileo and has enjoyed plenty of success with several other sons of Sadler’s Wells. Australia’s Group winner Sir Ron Priestley and Stakes winner King Carney have second dams by HALLING , and his sire DIESIS , respectively.

MATING SUGGESTIONS: The tremendous success of the first two crops by Horse of the Year Kingman has translated into some sensational prices for his third-crop yearlings, with colts selling for 2,300,000gns and 1,800,000gns. The first to highlight Kingman’s potential was his spectacular son Calyx. A highly impressive 5-length debut winner at Newmarket on June 9, Calyx reappeared ten days later as one of 23 runners in the Gr.2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. Despite having to race on the apparently slower part of the course from his high draw, he burst well clear of his group and won well. The next four across the line, which all raced in the other group, included the future Group winners Advertise, Sergei Prokofiev and Shine So Bright. Advertise became a triple Gr.1 winner. Although Calyx missed the rest of the season, he was similarly impressive on his return to action, in the Gr.3 Commonwealth Cup Trial, also at Ascot. Once again he displayed a turn of foot reminiscent of the acceleration which earned Kingman four consecutive Gr.1 victories. The Gr.1 Commonwealth Cup appeared to be at Calyx’s mercy but he suffered a pastern injury when second to Hello Youmzain in the Gr.2 Sandy Lane S. and his career was over. Calyx and his parents Kingman and Helleborine collectively won seven of their eight juvenile starts, the only defeat coming when Helleborine was beaten a length by the future Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Misty For Me in the Gr.1 Prix Marcel Boussac. Helleborine had previously won the Gr.3 Prix d’Aumale by five lengths from the future Coronation Stakes winner Immortal Verse. Helleborine’s older sister African Rose won the Gr.1 Sprint Cup at Haydock and went on to produce the fast and precocious Frankel filly Fair Eva, winner of the Gr.3 Princess Margaret Stakes. Calyx’s pedigree allows him plenty of options as a stallion. He is free of Sadler’s Wells, Galileo and Danehill. Kingman is already showing promise with daughters of GALILEO , siring a Gr.3 winner and a Listed winner in his first crop, and Calyx’s family has produced a smart 2yo to FRANKEL . Calyx could be a useful means of injecting more precocity into grand-daughters of Galileo, by such as TEOFILO , NEW APPROACH , FRANKEL and AUSTRALIA . Kingman’s Gr.2- placed daughter Jazzique is out of a SADLER’S WELLS mare, and another SADLER’S WELLS mare is the second dam of Kingman’s very smart son Headman. SINGSPIEL is the broodmare sire of Kingman’s Gr.3 2yo winner Boomer. PIVOTAL mares are likely to be ideal for Calyx. Kingman has already sired the speedy Poetry and the talented Roseman from daughters of PIVOTAL , which have enjoyed Gr.1 success with Calyx’s grandsire Invincible Spirit and with another of Invincible Spirit’s sons. GREEN DESERT is going to back in the fourth generation of Calyx’s progeny. Kingman’s record suggests that Calyx could shine with a second line, as Kingman’s speedy Group-placed Listed winner Alligator Alley is out of a CAPE CROSS mare and his Listed winner Raakib Alhawa has a dam by SEA THE STARS . They are therefore inbred 3x3 and 3x4 to GREEN DESERT . The DANEHILL branch is also making its mark with Kingman. His classic-winning son Persian King has a dam by DYLAN THOMAS and the potentially high-class Sangarius has a second dam by DANEHILL . Calyx can be expected to do well with mares by Danehill’s many stallion sons, such as DANSILI , DANEHILL DANCER , EXCEED AND EXCEL , FASTNET ROCK , ROCK OF GIBRALTAR , HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR , DUKE OF MARMALADE , DANETIME , CAMACHO and CLODOVIL . Daughters of KODIAC produce 4x3 to that influential mare Rafha. Kingman already has Group-placed performers with mares by ROYAL APPLAUSE and his son ACCLAMATION . This line is well qualified to help Calyx sire Royal Ascot 2yos. The two lines of MR PROSPECTOR in Calyx’s pedigree will be back in the fifth and sixth generations of his progeny’s pedigree, so there is no obstacle to adding more MR PROSPECTOR blood. Kingman already has a 2yo Listed winner from a KINGMAMBO mare, a Gr.2 winner from a KING’S BEST mare and a talented filly out of a mare by King- mambo’s son LEMON DROP KID . Calyx should suit these KINGMAMBO line mares. Invincible Spirit has 13% black-type winners, including four Group winners, out of MACHIAVELLIAN mares. Calyx would be interesting with daughters of some of the successful stallions with dams by MACHIAVELLIAN , especially when ZOFFANY , DARK ANGEL and SHAMARDAL are all qualified to reinforce Calyx’s remarkable juvenile ability. Then there’s LOPE DE VEGA , with his close inbreeding to MACHIAVELLIAN . GIANT’S CAUSEWAY sired the second dam of Kingman’s classic-winning son Persian King and the dam of his Group-placed daughter Sicilia. This again suggests daughters of SHAMARDAL and FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND .

BRILLIANT GR.2 WINNING 2YO 1 st Coventry Stakes–Gr.2 , Royal Ascot, 6f, by 1 length “The biggest field in a while and it looked a strong edition… the winner being most impressive…His effort can be upgraded markedly considering he was racing all alone on what was likely the wrong side and it’s no surprise to see him head up the market for next season’s 2,000 Guineas.” Racing Post Analysis after he beat Advertise in the Coventry S.-Gr.2 Won Maiden, Newmarket, 6f, by 5 lengths, on debut. “Despite running green at Newmarket, Calyx achieved the rare feat for a newcomer of recording a rating in excess of 100… [Kingman] too had bolted up on the July course first time out by six lengths, also earning a rating of more than 100” TIMEFORM EXCELLENT 3YO SPRINTER 1 st Commonwealth Cup Trial Stakes–Gr.3 , Ascot, 6f, by 4 lengths . “he's an explosive talent…and put the race to bed in a matter of strides approaching the last furlong, bursting clear. He looks a top-class sprinter in the making” Racing Post Analysis

“ Calyx always had that rare brilliance you only see in champions. His performances at Ascot at both 2 and 3 years were of the highest standard. He is a very similar type to his sire Kingman and with both Coolmore and Juddmonte supporting him at stud he will be given the best possible opportunity to succeed as a stallion.” John Gosden
“ He’s blessed with so much speed... He’s a serious horse. ” Frankie Dettori
“ one of the most exciting Coventry winners for some time ” TIMEFORM , who rated him 120p as a 2yo and 124 as a 3yo

Camelot is Montjeu’s best stallion son and has already sired a winner of the Irish Derby, a narrowly-beaten Oaks second, a Gr.1 winner on turf in the U.S and a Gr.1 winning 2yo in France. Camelot sired the classic-winning Latrobe and the Oaks second Pink Dogwood from a SHAMARDAL mare, and Gr.3 winner Pollara from a mare by STORM CAT . TALE OF THE CAT sired the second dam of Chesham Stakes winner Arthur Kitt. GIANT’S CAUSEWAY is broodmare sire of one of Camelot’s Listed winners. LOPE DE VEGA is another option. Camelot sired the smart Hunting Horn from an INDIAN RIDGE mare. Other sons of Montjeu have Group winners from AHONOORA line mares, with the stallions involved including INCHINOR , INDIAN RIDGE and DR DEVIOUS . Mares by GREEN DESERT , POLISH PRECEDENT and WAR FRONT create only 5x3 to DANZIG with Camelot. Montjeu sired Irish Oaks winner Bracelet and Gr.2 winner Wading from a mare by GREEN DESERT and this mare, Cherry Hinton, has now produced Gr.1 winner Athena and Gr.3 winner Goddess to Camelot. The theory that Camelot should be ideal for daughters of OASIS DREAM has been confirmed by the smart Sir Dragonet. Other options include INVINCIBLE SPIRIT and CAPE CROSS . Daughters of SEA THE STARS would reinforce Camelot’s classic ability. Camelot has already sired dual Gr.3 winner Wait Forever from a daughter of DANEHILL ’s son HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR . He will therefore suit daughters of DANEHILL DANCER , DANSILI , FASTNET ROCK , ROCK OF GIBRALTAR , EXCEED AND EXCEL and MOZART . Camelot has also sired Gr.1-winning 2yo Wonderment from a grand-daughter of TIGER HILL and the Gr.1-placed Alounak from a daughter of RAIL LINK . The BLUSHING GROOM line will work with Camelot, as two sons of Montjeu sired Group winners from RAINBOW QUEST , RAHY and QUEST TO FAME mares. Montjeu sired Derby winner Authorized from a mare by SAUMAREZ . Montjeu sired Gr.1 winners with GONE WEST , MACHIAVELLIAN and WOODMAN mares and had four Group winners from ZAFONIC mares. Authorized has a Gr.2 winner with an ELUSIVE QUALITY dam. Camelot has a Gr.3 winner from a DUBAWI mare and a SW from a mare by GRAND SLAM while Gr.1 winner Athena has a grandam by MISWAKI . More MR PROSPECTOR line mares are therefore clearly called for with Camelot. Camelot sired the useful SIR EREC from a mare by GALILEO , creating 3x3 to SADLER’S WELLS , and Sir Dragonet is another inbred 3x3 to SADLER’S WELLS . Authorized, another of Montjeu’s Derby winners, sired classic-placed Rehn’s Nest with a GALILEO mare. Camelot’s first Group winner, Fighting Irish, has a dam by PIVOTAL . Camelot should suit daughters of SIYOUNI . His 2019 yearlings included a €650,000 colt out of a PEINTRE CELEBRE mare. Montjeu’s accomplished son Fame And Glory had a SHIRLEY HEIGHTS dam and a mare by DARSHAAN produced the Derby winner Pour Moi. Two of Montjeu’s sons also have Gr.1 winners out of DARSHAAN mares. Camelot’s Group winners Pollara and Hunting Horn have second dams by SHIRLEY HEIGHTS and DARSHAAN respectively. SHARPEN UP is a path to follow with Camelot, as he sired the second dams of Montjeu’s top sons Motivator and Hurricane Run. Camelot already has Listed winners out of daughters of TREMPOLINO and HALLING . 19
