Coolmore Ireland Brochure 2022

A Dream Season! Rachael Blackmore and Henry de Bromhead dominated Cheltenham and Aintree with their understated brilliance. Rachael Blackmore’s phenomenal successes were celebrated all around the country and indeed the world, but nowhere more than in her hometown of Killenaule, just three and a half miles from the gates of Coolmore. Rachael secured the top jockey’s award at Cheltenham riding six winners in magni fi cent style, fi ve at Grade 1 level including the Champion Hurdle aboard Honeysuckle. Then three weeks later she added the Grand National in similar fashion aboard Minella Times (Oscar) in the colours of J.P. McManus. It was also a history-making year for Henry de Bromhead who spent a number of seasons at Coolmore before embarking on his training career. Never before had anyone trained the winners of the Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle and Queen Mother Champion Chase in a single season. And if that was not enough, Henry saddled the 1-2 in both the Gold Cup and Grand National for good measure!
