LEADING WINNERS FROM THE FIRST 2YO CROP OF RULER OF THE WORLD INCLUDE: NAME SIRE OF DAM SIRE OF 2ND DAM GRADE IRIDESSA Danehill Mendocino Gr.1 THE WORLD IS YOUR Alzao Henbit L-pl MAJOR SNUGFIT Dansili Lahib Wnr LADY DI FERRO Shamardal Montjeu Wnr MATING SUGGESTIONS: Ruler Of The World comes from one of the world’s most sought-after female lines, his third dam being the celebrated Lassie Dear whose descendants include dual champion American sire A.P. Indy. Ruler Of The World promises to be another smart stallion from this family, having sired the Gr.1 Fillies’ Mile winner Iridessa from his small first crop. Ruler Of The World’s profile has received a considerable boost from the recent exploits of his top-class half-brother Duke of Marmalade. This champion older horse sired Gr.1 classic winners in Britain, France and Germany. The fact that Ruler Of The World is a half-brother to a champion by DANEHILL makes mares from the DANZIG line the first line of attack – especially as his sire Galileo has such a brilliant record with this line. Galileo’s 31 northern hemisphere Group winners out of DANEHILL mares feature the brilliant Frankel, the champion two-year-old Teofilo, the King George winner Highland Reel and the classic winner Intello. Ruler Of The World is following Galileo’s example, with his first-crop Fillies’ Mile winner Iridessa having a dam by DANEHILL . More mares from the DANEHILL line are clearly called for. Galileo’s Irish Derby and St Leger winner Capri and his triple Gr.1 winner Lush Lashes are out of ANABAA mares and the international Gr.1 winner Adelaide is another whose broodmare sire is a son of DANZIG . The GREEN DESERT branch also has a compelling record with Galileo and his family. Galileo sired the Derby-winning Australia from a mare by CAPE CROSS , who also sired Galileo’s outstanding half-brother Sea The Stars. Galileo’s record with GREEN DESERT mares is excellent, featuring the Epsom Oaks winner Was. Ruler Of The World’s half-brother Duke of Marmalade had a Gr.1 winner with a dam by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT . Galileo is also achieving highly encouraging results with mares by sons of DANEHILL , with the top-class Minding, The Gurkha and Alice Springs leading his numerous Group winners out of mares by DANEHILL DANCER . There are also Gr.1 winners out of mares by MOZART , DESERT KING , HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR and ROCK OF GIBRALTAR . The CHIEF’S CROWN branch of the DANZIG male line could reinforce Ruler Of The World’s classic ability. Teofilo sired the Irish St Leger winner Voleuse de Coeurs and the Irish Derby winner Trading Leather from mares by GRAND LODGE and his son SINNDAR . Another son of Galileo sired the brilliant Enable from a SADLER’S WELLS mare and Teofilo sired the Dewhurst Stakes winner Parish Hall from a MONTJEU mare. This opens the door to close inbreeding to SADLER’S WELLS . One route demanding exploration concerns Sadler’s Wells’s three-parts-brother NUREYEV . Galileo’s very good results with the NUREYEV line include siring eight Group winners headed by Gr.1 winners Rhododendron, Hydrangea and The United States from 31 foals out of PIVOTAL mares. Frankel is also shaping up well with PIVOTAL mares, notably siring the top-class Cracksman. Galileo’s son New Approach sired the Oaks winner Talent from a PEINTRE CELEBRE mare. His half-brother Duke of Marmalade has the German Derby winner Nutan out of a PEINTRE CELEBRE mare, the multiple Gr.2 winner Big Orange out of a FASLIYEV mare and a Gr.3 winner out of a SOVIET STAR mare. Galileo has enjoyed a tremendous partnership with daughters of STORM CAT , siring 11 Group/Graded winners from 58 foals. No fewer than eight of them – Churchill, Gleneagles, Ballydoyle, Misty For Me, Marvellous, Decorated Knight, Happily and Clemmie – are Gr.1 winners. Galileo also sired the classic-winning Seventh Heaven from a mare by Storm Cat’s grandson JOHANNESBURG . Teofilo, another champion son of Galileo, sired the Gr.1 winner Loch Garman from a daughter of GIANT’S CAUSEWAY . Ruler Of The World can be expected to shine with the MILL REEF line, which has produced three generations of Gr.1 winners to Galileo. Galileo has ten Group winners out of DARSHAAN mares and has also thrived with Darshaan’s son
