In the spring, Minding , ballydoyle and Alice Springs made it a 1-2-3 for Galileo in the 1,000 Guineas. And so it continued throughout the season culminating in another clean sweep in the ‘Arc’. In the interim there was more Classic success for Minding , The Gurkha and Seventh Heaven , come autumn a host of top two-year-olds including Fillies’ Mile 1-2 Rhododendron and Hydrangea , a 1-2-3 in the Beresford and of course the mighty Churchill in the National Stakes and the Dewhurst. And Highland Reel rounded off the season in style in the Breeders’ Cup Turf. There’s not much left to say!
