MATING SUGGESTIONS: Churchill won seven consecutive races which established him as his generation’s Champion at two and as a dual Guineas winner at three. His winning sequence featured four consecutive Gr.1 victories, including the National Stakes (by more than 4 lengths), the Dewhurst, the 2,000 Guineas (by a length from the future Gr.1 winners Barney Roy and Al Wukair) and the Irish 2,000 Guineas (by 2½ lengths from Gr.1 winner Thunder Snow). Churchill’s racing record showed that he had inherited a degree of stamina from his sire Galileo, balanced by plenty of speed from his very fast female line. This speed was also apparent when his year-younger sister Clemmie won the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes. Their dam, the Storm Cat mare Meow, was a fast and precocious daughter of the top-class sprinter Airwave (Cheveley Park Stakes). Airwave’s half sister Jwala won the Gr.1 Nunthorpe Stakes. Churchill also represents one of the world’s most potent nicks. From Galileo’s 66 foals out of daughters of Storm Cat, 14 have become black-type winners, with a sensational total of eight becoming Gr.1 winners - that’s 12%. Churchill enjoys the advantage of being free of the DANZIG blood which has been one of the other biggest contributors to Galileo’s success. Churchill will surely suit mares by DANEHILL and his sons. Gleneagles, another son of Galileo with a Storm Cat dam, has already has three Group winners out of grand-daughters of DANEHILL , the stallions involved being DANEHILL DANCER , ORATORIO and FASTNET ROCK . Galileo himself has a tremendous record with DANEHILL DANCER mares and has also enjoyed Gr.1 success with daughters of EXCEED AND EXCEL , ROCK OF GIBRALTAR , HOLY ROMAN EMPERO R, DANSILI , DESERT KING and MOZART . Churchill’s female line produced the Nunthorpe winner Jwala to OASIS DREAM . Galileo sired an Oaks winner from a 28
