His sire War Front’s ability to upgrade his mares has transformed him into one of Kentucky’s highest-priced stallions. His dam Misty For Me was good enough to win four Gr.1 races and is proving equally talented as a broodmare. Her three Group/Graded winners also include U S Navy Flag’s sister, the triple Gr.1 winner Roly Poly. U S Navy Flag displayed similar talent and toughness. He proved highly progressive during his juvenile campaign which saw him win the Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes and, only two weeks later, the Gr.1 Dewhurst Stakes by two and a half lengths. Although second in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, U S Navy Flag showed his true worth when dropped back to 6f. in the Gr.1 July Cup winning by nearly two lengths. Mares by sons of DANEHILL create 3x4 to Danzig, this opens the door to mares by his many sire sons. There’s plenty of scope for mares by grandsons of DANEHILL , such as ZOFFANY , CHOISIR and MASTERCRAFTSMAN . Mares by sons of GREEN DESERT also create only 3x4 to Danzig. He could prove ideal as a means of injecting speed into mares by SEA THE STARS , which create 4x3 to Urban Sea. U S Navy Flag looks sure to be suited by mares by PIVOTAL and his sons, including SIYOUNI and KYLLACHY . Another War Front son sired classic winner Olmedo from a PIVOTAL mare. War Front has three Gr.1 winners out of SADLER’S WELLS mares, including the Preakness S. winner War of Will and the Cheveley Park S. winner Brave Anna. He also has a Gr.2 winner out of an EL PRADO mare and a Gr.3 winner with a MONTJEU dam. It’s worth adding that 2020 saw the first Group 1 winner inbred to GALILEO , with the 2YO Mac Swiney being inbred 2x3. U S Navy Flag has a second dam by STORM CAT , but he is still an option for this line. Mares by SHAMARDAL and SCAT DADDY should be guaranteed to produce good juveniles and they respectively produce only 4x4 and 4x5 to Storm Cat. Mares by LOPE DE VEGA should suit. Daughters of ACCLAMATION , DARK ANGEL and EQUIANO are others guaranteed to reinforce U S Navy Flag’s precocity. War Front sired Gr.1 winner Lancaster Bomber from a mare by INDIAN RIDGE and War Front’s son Due Diligence owes his Gr.3 winners Good Vibes and Streamline to mares by INDIAN RIDGE’s son COMPTON PLACE . This suggests mares with AHONOORA blood. Further MR PROSPECTOR blood should work well, as War Front has Gr.1 winners with dams by MISWAKI , FORTY NINER , SEEKING THE GOLD , SMART STRIKE and WOODMAN . War Front has Graded winners from mares by two BLUSHING GROOM line stallions, including the top-class Declaration of War from a RAHY mare. The ROBERTO male line should also suit well, as War Front has Graded winners from daughters of DYNAFORMER and RED RANSOM , and from mares by ARCH , a son of KRIS S . He also has Gr.1 and Gr.2 winners with second dams by SILVER HAWK .
