ARTISTIC DIVA Mizzen Mast Glitterman Gr.3-pl SW NEVER GONE SOUTH Perfect Soul Hold Your Peace Gr.3-pl SW FLEETWOOD Thunder Gulch Summer Squall Gr.2-pl ALRIGHT ALRIGHT Meadowlake Runaway Groom Gr.3-pl MATING SUGGESTIONS: Munnings was one of the colts which helped put Speightstown on the map. After selling for $1.7m at Calder as a 2yo, Munnings quickly established his merit, making an impressive winning debut over six furlongs at Saratoga in July before being placed in both the Gr.1 Hopeful Stakes and Gr.1 Champagne Stakes. At three he took the Gr.2 Woody Stephens Stakes and Gr.2 Tom Fool Handicap. Then at four he added the Gr.2 Gulfstream Park Sprint Championship. Now Munnings is proven at stud and has sired Gr.1 winners I’m A Chatterbox and El Deal among the 25 black-type winners – an inspirational 11 per cent – from his first 212 named foals, sired at fees of $12,500 or less. His 2018 yearlings were sired at $25,000. Six of them sold for between $210,000 and $275,000. Munnings sired his first Gr.1 winner, that fine filly I’m A Chatterbox, from a grand-daughter of DANZIG and the Gr.3 winner Munny Spunt from a HARD SPUN mare. More mares from the DANZIG male line should suit this fast horse, as Speightstown sired the Gr.1 winners Jersey Town and Seek Again from mares by BELONG TO ME and DANEHILL . Speightstown also has Graded winners out of daughters of DANZIG , DAYJUR , HONOR GRADES and SEA HERO . This suggest daughters of WAR FRONT , LANGFUHR , EXCHANGE RATE and WAR CHANT will suit Munnings. As Speightstown already has Gr.2 and Gr.3 winners inbred 3x3 to Storm Cat, there is no reason why Munnings shouldn’t enjoy plenty of success with mares from the Storm Cat line. Sure enough, he has already sired the Gr.2 winner Om from a grand-daughter of STORM CAT . This suggests daughters of such as GIANT’S CAUSEWAY , HENNESSY and TALE OF THE CAT . Munnings already has a Gr.2 winner out of a mare by Giant’s Causeway’s brother FREUD . The Holy Bull/Great Above blood in his pedigree should suit SCAT DADDY mares. His early results suggest he has a future with mares descending from SADLER’S WELLS and his close relative NUREYEV. He has a Gr.2 winner with a dam by EL PRADO and a Gr.3 winner out of a MEDAGLIA D’ORO mare. Munnings also has a Listed winner with a dam by Sadler’s Wells’ son PERFECT SOUL . There is another with a dam by THEATRICAL , a son of NUREYEV . Mares by KITTEN’S JOY are another option. The NIJINSKY male line also comes into the picture, as Munnings has a Gr.3 winner with a dam by SKY CLASSIC . The DEPUTY MINISTER branch has plenty of potential, as Speightstown sired the Travers Stakes winner Golden Ticket from a DEPUTY MINISTER mare and he is also one of three sons of Gone West to have sired a Gr.1 winner from mares by sons of Deputy Minister. Speightstown has several good performers inbred either 3x3 or 3x4 to MR PROSPECTOR , including Golden Ticket, Tamarkuz and Lighthouse Bay. Other sons of Gone West also have several Gr.1 winners inbred 3x4 to this great stallion. Munnings has Listed winners from the UNBRIDLED , GONE WEST and FORTY NINER branches. Speightstown has Gr.3 winners out of mares by three different sons of SEATTLE SLEW . Mares by PULPIT , MINESHAFT and MALIBU MOON all create 4x4 to Mr Prospector and TAPIT mares could also suit. Munnings already has a Stakes winner out of a CAPOTE mare and a Gr.3 winner with a grandam by him. Other Stakes winners by Munnings have second dams by SEATTLE SLEW and his grandsons BOSTON HARBOR and EVANSVILLE SLEW . BLUSHING GROOM sired the second dams of Speightstown’s Gr.1 winners Seek Again and Lord Shanakill. Munnings’ Gr.3 winner No Problem has a dam by BLUSHING GROOM ’s grandson ORIENTATE . Speightstown has two black-type winners from six foals out of INDIAN CHARLIE mares, including the speedy Gr.3 winner Switzerland, therefore daughters of UNCLE MO should suit Munnings.
